Laurence Shahlaei is a highly accomplished Strongman competitor, a well-respected Strength and Conditioning coach, and a regular on Youtube (Big Loz Official), bringing viewers up-to-date news in the world of Strongman as well as Strongman history videos and competition Vlogs.
Laurence has competed in Strongman since 2005 after being inspired by the likes of Zydrunas Savickas and Vasyl Virastyuk while watching The World's Strongest Man at Christmas with his family.
Since then he has appeared at The World’s Strongest Man eleven times, and won a plethora of titles along the way, including Europe’s Strongest Man and the Ultimate Strongman World Champion.
He’s also crossed over into the world of raw powerlifting, becoming the British Powerlifting Champion with a cross federation record total.
He’s married to Liz and a father of three children.
