Placing 4th at the 2022 Giants Live Britains Strongest Man, and winning the sandbag toss event in the process.

Bio

Shane was a competitive powerlifter for seven years before the covid pandemic forced him to train at home with minimal equipment so he gathered heavy items (scaffolding, bags of sand etc) and began training on his driveway. He quickly caught the strongman bug and signed up for the first competition possible, which happened to be the 2021 England’s Strongest Man.

After 8 months of strongman training, he went on to win this and soon after received a call from Giants Live! Next thing he knew he was catapulted into the big leagues against the likes of the Stoltman brothers, Adam Bishop and the rest of the amazing top tier strongmen.

He went on to compete at Giants Live Britain’s Strongest Man event where he placed 4th, qualifying him for a place at 2022 World's Strongest Man! He also competed at 2022 Europe’s Strongest Man where he narrowly missed out on the podium. 

During the 2022 competitive season he was still working anywhere up to 80 hours per week at his day job in the oil industry, but looking forward into 2023, he’s reduced his hours substantially to make training and recovery the number one priority. He now has a full strongman gym set up at his home to push his training to the next level.

Shane’s goals for 2023 are simple; podium at at least one Giants Live competition, and make the final of WSM.
