Bio
Almost 20 years into my gym journey and still can't get enough of the place. After a childhood of playing sports, I've been taking fitness seriously since the age of 16. Over the years I've covered all types of training styles - bodybuilding and hypertrophy, strength and conditioning, powerlifting, callisthenics and Crossfit. I've done a fair bit of yoga too! I'm currently training five times a week.
I have a first class BSc Biology degree from the University of Sheffield and a PGCE in Education from the University of Manchester. I believe health and fitness should be a core pillar in everyone’s lives. I want to use my background in science and education to bring readers the highest quality information to inspire their fitness journey.
What Do I Do?
After a career in education and marketing, I'm now a professional freelance writer. I’m also the founder of StrengthBible.com, a site to help people get stronger physically and mentally.
To supplement my personal experience and scientific knowledge when writing about fitness, I’m currently studying for my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualifications.
Away from the gym and laptop, I'm a father of one and love spending time outdoors in nature to recharge the batteries - usually accompanied by my family and Murphy the cocker spaniel.
