Daniel Wilson
Bio
Competitive strongman and powerlifter with a keen interest in all things strength & conditioning. Whilst going through my teenage years, sport was absolutely not my thing. My first gym session changed that. I dropped my body weight from a very unhealthy 16 stone to a healthy 10-stone with cardio/strength training. In 2019 I discovered the world of strongmen and have gone from strength to strength.
But, this also lead me to realise I had a knack for spotting technical inefficiencies, and was contributing to athletes far more experienced than me. At this point it seemed right to get myself qualified and enter the coaching world, particularly the strength & conditioning route. Since then, I have helped both experienced and new athletes alike prepare for competition, as well as develop my knowledge and experience in both basic and complex injury rehabilitation.
I originally come from a rugby background, but now my favourite sports are strongman, powerlifting, rollerblading and football.
What Do I Do?
I work as a Digital Event Producer, and assist those with their strength goals in my spare time. I am also a fitness writer, with many, many animals.
Key achievements include completing a BSc, a 320kg deadlift, and some comebacks from some significant injuries.
