Accessory Lifts for... Bench Press
While compound exercises focus on multiple muscles, accessory lifts (also known as accessory exercises and auxiliary exercises) target and strengthen individual or small muscle groups. Performed frequently they will help you to improve the numbers on your big lifts.
Accessory lifts should be performed as part of your regular strength training routine – warm up, primary exercise, accessory lifts and cool down – but, with hundreds of options, how do you know which ones to pick?
