Fitness ropes for cardio workouts

Heavy ropes have long been a favourite in exercise routines and are popular with home gym enthusiasts and personal trainers. These thick ropes allow a full body workout and are ideal for HIIT cardio sessions.

A battling rope workout with a suitable high intensity can improve your fitness and can help you to lose weight as part of an exercise and diet plan.

Battling rope exercises

There are plenty of ways to get the best out of your battle ropes at home. Popular exercises include alternating waves, where you hold a rope in each hand and raise each arm in turn and bring it down to send a whip-like motion along the rope to the anchor point. Also popular are rope slams and jumping squat slams, proving that these are a very versatile piece of fitness equipment.

For endurance training, why not also try one of our weighted battle skipping ropes? Three thicknesses and two lengths offer a variety of weights for your conditioning workouts.
