Where do you train?

The Barn. Purpose built home gym.

How many years have you been training?

16 Years. I started a proper weights programme as a 15year old focused on rugby. I have specifically been training for Strongman for 10 years

Favourite piece of equipment?

I like to keep things simple. I do the majority of my training using my power rack with free weights.

Squats or deadlifts?

Deadlifts all the way!

What does being strong mean to you?

It is the ultimate expression of being an Alpha Male. To be the strongest man in the world is the ultimate accolade.

8 years.

Has to be a barbell!

Squats or deadlifts?

Squats every time.

What does being strong mean to you?

For me strength is not just in body. In weightlifting you have to have a strong mind. To throw yourself under that kind of weight and over your head takes a different kind of strength. But most importantly… strong is beautiful!

Where do you train?

Highland Strength & Conditioning, or wherever possible when traveling for competitions.

How many years have you been training?

I have been training since I was 16. So, for 18 years now.

Favourite piece of equipment?

My favourite is push press / log press. So, barbell or log.

Squats or deadlifts?

Hmm I have a love hate relationship with deadlifts. I recently have pulled my first 400kg deadlift, so I guess it’s deadlifts for now.

What does being strong mean to you?

It’s something I have worked on for over half my life. It’s the most consistent thing in my life.

Knowing that I am now one of the top 10 Strongest men in the world is incredible. For years of hard work to finally start to pay off is something very rewarding and very humbling.

I have been training since I was 17, so 7 years.

Definitely the stones, I love them.

Has to be the deadlift, 100%.

What does being strong mean to you?

It means everything. I love lifting weights, I love being in the gym and I love testing my body to the limit. I love everything about it.
