Sturdy bar but questionable paint qualityThis is a fantastic bar in terms of grip and the weight it can hold. I use it for deadlifts and it really makes a huge difference and allows me to feel more comfortable working to failure at higher weights as I know there’s less risk for my back. However, the paint has slowly been chipping away on the sleeves after every use. I only have it a few months and the sleeves have huge paint chips of it already. Customer service said this is expected (I don’t agree) so I’d perhaps go for the chrome version.

Great bar, not sure about the coatingThis is a great bar to use - solidly built and a really nice upgrade to the home gym to be able to do some new deadlift variations. However, the coating on mine is chipping and flaking away really easily - very different to other Mirafit kit I've had for years already. Not sure how long it'll have before it's covered in rust.

Great bar, arrived damagedThe bar is fantastic. Unfortunately it did arrive with some of the black paint chipped away from the handles.

Low quality for a low price.You get what you pay for with this bar it seems. I had to return my first bar due to the knurling not being pressed evenly into the handle areas. Some areas had knurling, some almost smooth. This was replaced by Mirafit no hassle within days, however, while the replacement bar is much better it's still not great quality. Knurling remains uneven and not that grippy even on good areas. The paint used on this bar isn't the hard wearing gloss you find on Mirafit barbells, it's a far cheaper matt coating that scratches up instantly on the first use. On both of my bars the raised handles were welded slightly off square too, which isn't an issue particularly but it is worth mentioning as it further highlights the low quality of this item. At the end of the day, this bar is much cheaper than the competition so you get what you pay for. Personally I wouldn't recommend it as it's not up to the usual quality I have come to expect from Mirafit. Save your money and buy elsewhere. One last thing I will mention is that I previously owned the 1" Standard version of this bar in chrome which was fantastic, with excellent knurling. Far superior a bar to this one. Maybe the Olympic version in chrome is of the same quality, I wish I had chosen that instead.
