Best pads this powerlifter has ever seen - 1 recommendationPros: 1) Excellent build quality: No yield with me + my bench weighing a combined 270kg, can handle way more. Can easily dance w/ some commercial grade benches 3) Pads are excellent. I got both the original and ultimate wide pad. Both are coated with this very high friction surface which means no more having to wear grippy t-shirts or put bands on the surface. Best surface for strength training I've ever see 2) Compression profile of the pads is also 10/10. Some serious powerlifting benches are needlessly rock solid while other hammer strength style ones are to compressible. This is just right. 4) Easy to assemble So why 4 stars? Cons: 1) I already recommend this bench in a heartbeat bit it would be great if Mirafit offered the standard frame with the Fatpad which gives you a 47cm height, or just make a taller 50cm version. Some of us are bigger which is why the fatpad (and some more height) is needed. I had to DIY some stilts to raise mine.

Gon fatpad - never going backBought this both with the original pad and ultimate wide pad. Both have an excellent, high friction surface meaning no more trying to wear special grippy t-shirts or putting bands on the bench. The compressive behavior of the pads themselves is perfect, not rock solid like some powerlifting competition benches nor too soft like your typical hammer strength bench; this is from the POV of someone who trains exclusively for strength. Excellent build quality, no yield despite me + my max bench weighing around 270kg. Can easily dance with some commercial gym grade benches. Overall I feel my strongest ever on these. My only suggestion to Mirafit - offer the standard bench frame with the fatpad for a 47cm total height and/or make a 50cm height one! Some of us need the height and I had to DIY some stilts to raise mine. Having that option would make this the ultimate choice for home or commercial gym.

Padding issuesHave the 2 of these benches. First bench purchased roughly 1 year +, could not fault it. Absolute steel at the price. Second bench, purchased 6months ago. This has what feels like a split in the padding right down the spine of the bench. You can see/feel it clearly and it not ideal from a benching perspective. Contacted then but they kept passing me around until I stopped emailing.

Pretty goodSolid bench and does the job. Easy to put together and move about. I went for the thick pad and like the support more than normal pads. (Cannot recommend DHL who appear to have lost the first one sent out, so some delay in getting it.)

Very sturdy, a bit high, pad too squishyI have had this bench with the original pad for over 2 years and have benched up to 160kg on it. I’m finding that, compared to even commercial gym benches, the pad is so squishy that it’s actually quite hard to stabilise while holding heavy weights, which means I find myself not lifting what I would like. This is a shame, seeing as the bench itself is pretty much indestructible.
