Best choice for mixing with spring collars.The spring locks are narrower but taller, these are wider but shorter. If you have enough space on the sleeve of an olympic dumbbell then these are perfect for avoiding the spring collars that stick out more and might touch you or something else while you're training. Smallest imperfection is that the inside the of the collar has 1 black component in in it. Still a 5/5
