I bought a set of bumper plates, but wanted some lighter plates to enable smaller increments. These work really well in addition to larger plates on the 6ft Olympic Barbell. (I got 1.25 and 2.5kgs)

I use these on all my dumbbells in conjunction with the steel plates. I keep one pair of these plates on as standard and swap out the steel ones as necessary, they're slightly smaller diameter for the respective size so makes loading/unloading quick and easy.

The plates are good quality but I found that the hex shape actually caused more issues than it solved problems. Yes the hex shape stops them rolling on the floor, but mid-set this stops you being able to easily make micro-adjustments to reposition the bar for symmetric/balanced lifting if you set it down out of position. I've gone back to using regular round plates. Your mileage may vary.

They look pretty good and they weigh what they say they weigh. I weighed them! I don't like the oily finish though and they smell so leave them in the air for a few days.
Having slots in them also makes for great alternative uses than bars.
