Ormskirk RUFC has equipped its container gym with a wide range of Mirafit strength and conditioning equipment to support rugby-specific training. The setup combines compact storage solutions with versatile free weights, racks and conditioning tools, creating an efficient training environment designed for high daily usage.
The Brief: Ormskirk RUFC
Ormskirk RUFC set out to create a practical, hard-wearing training space that could support players both on and off the pitch. Working within a compact container gym setup, the focus was on maximising functionality and providing athletes with access to versatile strength and conditioning equipment suited to the demands of rugby training.
Having already used Mirafit equipment within a home gym training setup, the coaching team knew the brand could deliver the durability and reliability required for a busy club environment. The result is a well-equipped performance space that combines strength, conditioning and recovery tools to support players throughout training sessions, rehabilitation work and match preparation.

We were delighted that Mirafit could provide fold away Squat Racks, essential for space saving. Cable Rack systems for versatility and whole body exercises again in small spacing. The free weight barbell, dumbbell and kettlebell equipment fits neatly on the purpose built storage racks and offers huge options for S&C coaching. We elected to purchase both Hex and Round dumbbell sets along with various lifting bars for maximum interchangeability.
Added to the weight based equipment; the ancillary equipment like steps, yoga mats, multi tension bands and wall mounted dip bars all fit perfectly into the small but highly usable space.
Finally the look of the gym is entirely complimented by all of the Mirafit and Cardio equipment, delivering our desired professional vista with a purpose built gym that all of our players and coaches want to use daily. The greatest compliment is the demand created by the quality of the equipment, the use of this small but excellent space and the completion of the project with a limited budget. This concept could be achieved at many sports clubs that lack internal spaces and desire a high end product at an affordable cost. The gym will be a revenue creator for the club for years to come and our S&C coach feels as a space it's as desirable as any commercial gym they've worked in.
