I've had many gym flooring rubber mats over the years, all of which suffer from having gaps between as they slightly shift from general movement. As these mats lock into place I was more sceptical on whether they would line up properly, to my surprise I connected them without using the recommended brick pattern (didn't want to mess around cutting them to size etc) and they line up almost perfectly. With a little bit of elbow grease you can knock them into place, this was done in a garage on a levelled concrete floor, people will have a harder time if their base floor is uneven. Some other notable things, they are colder than traditional rubber mats (which have no top sheet). You can also feel yourself sink into these more, better for shock absorption (probably right) but will definitely leave more notable indentations from heavy equipment.

Did as recommended here & by many others and got myself a razor sharp utility/Stanley knife, because I wanted to arrange the tiles in the brick layout & I have some pillars I had to shape around, I knew that some cutting would be involved. Cutting was easy, but you have to take multiple cuts to get through all the material. Tiring at the end but reassuring that I was working with what should be a sturdy product. The plastic fixings all lined up and few taps with a rubber mallet got them very securely connected. Not sure if it’s a case of needing time to settle to the environment it’s in but the tiles don’t sit flush with each other: there are (VERY) small channels along their seams. Won’t be an issue for my home gym purposes. It’s transformed a space we had no use for other than a place to hoard junk and I’d definitely purchase more if we decide to expand the space.

I got these to cover the floor of my garage in preparation for a new home gym. They are reassuringly heavy, and you need a decent Stanley knife to cut them to size. I laid them out in the brick style as recommended. All I would say is…don’t get hung up with the plastic fixings for every tile. Unless you’ve paid for, worked on, or been fortunate enough to have a completely smooth and flat floor in your garage, it will be all but impossible to fit the plastics fittings on all (or most) of the tiles. This doesn’t matter. If you’ve laid them out well, wall to wall, they will hold themselves in place. Of course do so at your own risk.
Overall these mats are great and if I need to replace any I’ll come straight to Mirafit

Purchased 18 of these mats for my garage. They do seem good quality but connecting them all together with the connector plates is often impossible (even when the tiles are nicely aligned). I’ve resorted to using as few connector plates as possible and others I’ve had to manipulate or simply omit. It’s a shame because of this the flooring is not as solid as it should be.

Thanks for the review. We are glad you like the quality of the mats. The connectors somtimes take some wiggling to get into place particularly if the floor is not even. We recommend laying the mats in a brick pattern as this generally makes it a little easier. There are several fixing positions on each mat so it should be possible to connect enough points to secure the mats well.

These are good quality mats and definitely do what they set out to achieve. My only negative comments are aesthetic. When joined up they’re not as seamless as the pictures make out and you can see the dipped sections between each mat. Functionally this is fine and the dips aren’t large enough to impact rolling gym equipment around. Also, the fleck isn’t as bright as the picture make out. It’s much duller in person. And finally, the ramped pieces are slightly taller than the mats they connect to; a few millimetres. But as I said, functionally they are perfect.
Also to add to the comments on cutting. You can get through these with a sharp knife. I first scored them then took them outside to get through completely. I had to use a sawing motion but wasn’t too hard. Expect lots of crumbly rubber on the floor though.
