A weight sled is a piece of equipment which offers resistance when the athlete pushes or pulls it along the turf. To increase or decrease the weight of the sled, you can alter the number of Rubber Weight Plates you’ve attached. For beginners, it is recommended to start with 5kg Weight Plates and gradually increase the load as you build strength. If your goal is to improve overall speed, it is best not to exceed 15% of your body weight.

What Muscles Do Weight Sleds Target?

Weight sleds work many parts of both your upper and lower body. This includes your hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, chest, arms, shoulders, and your core muscles. Sled pulls engage nearly every muscle group; however, the primary focus is on strengthening the lower body. Incorporating weight sled exercises in your training or fitness programme will provide you with a vigorous full body functioning exercise that will increase the versatility, excitement, and intensity of a workout.
