Prepare to train your triceps like never before with the cable machine v bar attachment. This small gym attachment will transform the way you work your arms and help you achieve more strength and muscle growth.
But you’re not restricted to just training your triceps with the V Handle Attachment. This cable accessory will also help you build overall full body strength.
Top Three V Bar Exercises

Tricep V Bar Pushdown
This exercise isolates the triceps muscles, helping to build strength and definition. The constant tension from the cable machine provides better muscle activation than using free weights.
• Attach the v handle to the highest setting and stand to face the cable pulley.
• Hold onto the attachment with an overhand grip, bring your feet together and brace your core.
• Keep your elbows tucked in and push the v bar down until your arms are straight. Squeeze your triceps at the bottom of the movement.
• Bring your arms back to a 90-degree position and repeat.
V Handle Goblet Squat
You can use the v bar to perform a goblet squat that targets the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes. The constant tension of the cable makes this lower body exercise more challenging.
• Attach the v handle to the lowest setting, hold onto the attachment with an underhand grip. Stand facing the functional trainer with your feet hip width apart and toes turned slightly out.
• Brace your core muscles and lower down into a squat until your thighs are at least parallel with the ground.
• Drive through your feet and lead with your chest as you push back up to a standing position.
V Bar Bicep Curl
This is another variation of the bicep curl that targets the short and long head of the biceps, along with the brachialis. You can use the v bar to perform tricep and bicep supersets, a quick and efficient way to work out your arms.
• Begin by attaching the v bar to a cable machine on the lowest setting.
• Stand to face the machine and hold onto the attachment with an underhand grip.
• Keeping your elbows tucked in, curl the v bar up towards your shoulders using your bicep muscles.
• Return the attachment with control and repeat.
Knurled Vs Rubber Grip V Handles

The v bar attachment comes with knurled grips or rubber grips. The Knurled V Handle aids grip strength and benefits those completing lower reps at a higher weight. On the other hand, the Rubber V Handle offers comfort for a lower load with a higher repetition range. Both v bars are suitable for all experience levels.
If building bigger triceps is one of your training goals, then make the cable v bar attachment a priority in your workout plan. It’s a small piece of home gym equipment that can make a big difference to your training.
