Bio

With a Strength and Conditioning, University background, I have always been passionate about research-based practice. Though my degree was heavily tailored to the elite sporting pathway, I am passionate about reducing the disparity between the elite, non-elite and general population, providing scientific practice in a down to earth, relatable fashion.

My PhD aims to do just that; looking into the effects of desk-based work and prolonged sitting on movement and resistance training. In the PhD, we refer to this population as ‘desk-based athletes’, with the intention to promote approaching them with the same vigor as we do a sportsperson.

What Do I Do?

I am a Personal Trainer and an Online Coach, as well as a Mirafit Author and PhD Student. I have coached and trained a variety of different demographics for a variety of goals. This includes general population, elite athletes, weightlifters, crossfitters, elderly population, sub-elite and amateur sportspersons. The most notable client achievement thus far being a Team Gold Medal and Individual Bronze Medal at the Kickboxing World Championships 2021, as well as inclusion in the WAKO Team GB Elite Team from my long-term client Molly Hershaw.
