Europe’s Strongest Man 2020

Bio

Luke’s journey into strongman competitions started with powerlifting. He won multiple World and European gold medals in the junior category at the European Classic and World Classic Men’s Championships and from there decided to move into the Strongman arena.

Strongman has always been an interest to Luke, and after a hip injury he decided to move his focus to that rather than powerlifting to challenge himself further and follow his dreams. The movements and requirements are completely different, so this really was a step change for Luke, starting from scratch again to learn new skills.

Within 2 years of stepping away from a successful career in powerlifting, and those first steps into strongman, Luke has gone on to qualify and compete at Britain’s, Europe’s, and World’s Strongest Man competitions. In 2020 he was crowned Europe’s Strongest Man.

For the future, Luke is coming back strong from a shoulder injury and continuing training with hopes of competing successfully again this season.
