Thick grip bars are essential for helping you improve your grip and forearm strength. They have a 50mm diameter which is around double the thickness of a traditional weight bar. The larger diameter means they are harder to hold onto which makes them ideal for targeting weak spots. Our 7ft Thick Grip Olympic Bars come in black and silver. Unlike axle bars, thick grip bars have knurling on them to help secure your hold on the bar. They also have marks on the bar to guide your grip ensuring a balanced lift. The 7ft bars weigh 20kg each and are best used with bumper plates for exercises such as deadlifts. You can read more about thick grip bars and how to use them here. As well as thick grip barbells, we also have thick grip dumbbells. These are ideal for isolating muscle groups as well as mixing up your bicep and tricep exercises. Our thick grip dumbbells weigh 3.4kg per bar and are suitable for Olympic weight plates.
