Perfect for Dinnie StonesHad a few of the 25s and 20s specifically for Dinnie Stone training to fit a lot of weight in a small space. Perfect for getting the right amount of weight, but the plates are so precisely cut that they are really difficult to separate if stacked together, same applies on a barbell. Seem very good quality, perhaps could do with bevelling to make them easier to use

Just what I neededI needed these to load up one side of the barbell sleeve when doing Landmine Squats. I have mainly bumper plates but getting to the stage where no more will fit on the sleeve so needed something thinner and these fit the bill perfectly. Got the 10s and the 20s which should take total weight on one end to around 150kg. Only downside of these compared to bumpers is they clang a lot, have sharp edges so have to be handled more delicately and can damage the floor etc if dropped. Overall, I use the bumpers which I prefer, only using these for and Landmine squats plus other exercises sparingly.

Good plates but room for improvementThese are nice plates, but they could be even better. Overall the quality is clearly very good but some things to be aware of: Unlike painted plates they are noisy, because they're plain steel they ring like a bell (literally) when they hit together. The edges (particularly on the inside of the cut out where you pick it up) are sharp. They won't cut you but it's not that comfortable. The main edges are all straight cut bevelled, obviously to try and prevent this, but it only partially works, would be better if the edges were all radiused smoothly properly. Be aware that being slim plates they will probably wobble on the bar a bit more than any wider plate you might have had. This is not helped by the outer edge of the centre hole also being straight cut bevelled. This means the effective width of the plate at the hole is even narrower. I don't see the reason for doing this and the holes should have been left straight cut to give maximum width to them. As best as I can measure, the inner diameter is 51mm which means they may be quite loose or may not even fit a cheaper bar. (I got lucky my cheap bar is about 1.5mm undersized, which doesn't help the wobble though). On a quality bar I'd expect them to fit pretty well. Again noting that being narrow they will wobble more than a wider plate (that's just geometry for you). Other than that the finish is generally very good, except as others have said the coating isn't 100% on all the plates, so quality control could definitely do with being improved. But this is a minor issue. I can't vouch for the 1% accuracy as I only have typical bathroom scales and I don't trust them enough to prove anything. But given the way the plates are made, clearly CNC machined and that they're solid steel, there's no real reason to doubt the 1% claim. So due to those things, otherwise very nice plates only get 4 stars.

High quality but could improve fractionsQuickly delivered and really good quality, stay rust-free. I would have preferred 1.25 kg as an option to allow for 2.5 kg increments on the bar.

Thin Olympic PlatesGood quality thin plates. Arrived quicker than expected and they are thin enough to make a heavy dumbbell using the Mirafit Olympic dumbbell bar with 170mm loadable space..great for single arm rows
