I purchased a second set of these 2" collars to completely eliminate transition time between my Olympic barbell and adjustable dumbbells. They deliver a flawless, non-slip lock under heavy loads. The quick-release mechanism is rapid and failsafe. Essential hardware.

Well made and quality item. I am using with barbell and olympic dumbbell bars. I am not sure whether these gen 2 ones are considered an improvement because I also have the older gen and both versions seem to be very good. I actually prefer the look of the older ones, but these have a different pattern to the rubber which perhaps improves grip.
