- End plates with screw thread weigh 2.5kg (1.25kg each)
- Adding the end plates to the base dumbbell creates a 7.5kg weight
- Heavier dumbbells are created by adding additional plates before screwing in the end plate
- Each additional plate adds 1.25kg
- The maximum weight is 20kg per dumbbell when all plates are attached
- Please note it is not possible to add additional plates to the dumbbells beyond those supplied
- End plates feature a knurled outer edge for grip when screwing in place
- 32mm diameter handle with knurling
- Machined steel construction with a chrome finish
- Not suitable for dropping. Dumbbells should be placed down with care
- Weight tolerance of +/- 2%

These are quality and well made. Mine came with an invisible oily coating that will make your hands feel greasy, but you could easily wipe all the plates off to remove it if you wanted to. I have also done non-standard upgrade to allow finer weight adjustments by buying the Mirafit 1" fractional steel plates (2" would also work). Technically the hole in the 1" plates is larger (2" much larger) than the hole on the plates that come with these, but you can just sandwich the 1" plates in between the originals and it works fine - still only maxing out at 20kg of course. For changing weights, the outer plate on these is attached to a large threaded bolt and this takes a lot of unscrewing to remove and you cannot tell when this is going to finish, and given you can be in a hurry, it can then come off suddenly which can be dangerous if something drops - broken foot etc. As long as you work out a good way of handling all that safely then you will be fine. Having said that, I also bought the Mirafit olympic adjustable dumbbells and they are getting more use than these as although the olympics are bulkier they are a lot quicker and easier to adjust.

Got these at Xmas. Really good and well balanced. I would love a fractional weight set for these. Like the other sets but with the smaller hole. Could then adjust them by smaller increments. Other than that really good.

Solid set of dumbbells.
Works perfectly for working out at home. The grip is nice and wont slip and the weight increments are just right for gradual progression.

I deliberated over these for a while but I shouldn't have, I love them. Discs and handle size are perfect for me, really enjoy using them.

Much better than many other modular dumbbells: however, I think the design needs improvement...
If the handle were one disc length shorter on the inside (about 13 cm), it would be much better, providing a better grip and increasing the weight capacity by 2.5 kg per dumbbell.
- If the discs were designed to be about 1 cm longer and slightly thinner, it could also achieve a slightly higher weight capacity.
Despite everything, it's a successful product.
