I bought this bar before I knew better. Since then I have upgraded to the far superior 1" Standard Trap Bar. Because of the built-in stand (not a bad idea in principle) the plates are already raised off the ground. If the handles had been located at the level of the centre of the plate then it might have worked well enough for 3 star rating. For trap deadlifts the handles are far too high off the ground so you get a significantly reduced range of motion. There is also no knurling on the handles so they don't offer much grip. So this bar works ok for farmer's carries (though I prefer carry handles rather than a trap bar for those) but doesn't work well for deadlifts. I've given this 2 stars instead of 1 because - like all Mirafit equipment - it is well made and good quality for the price. In terms of usefulness I think it is only worth 1 star.

Good quality product. Bought to start incorporating deadlifts into my routine, the stands are ideal if not using large weight discs as they avoid having to bend over too much to pick up from the floor. Good purchase

Great piece of equipment for deadlifting, shrugs amongst other exercises. I like the stand too as it’s easier to load weights and stops me going too deep on deadlift

Prompt delivery, well packaged, easy to put together. What an awesome bit of kit. I've never wanted to upgrade to Olympic plates, i have too many old fashioned ones to discard. This trap bar is ideal, an excellent height of the ground, sturdy, easy to grip and allows for lifts as well as walking (carrys) & shrugs. Why didn't i buy this years ago! One of my best buys ever!
