Good Sturdy connectors but the floor mats are heavy so stay put anyway. You could do with half the connectors to keep mats from moving but would be a waste not to use them all. Easy to fit to mats.

Sturdy connecters that fits perfectly and keeps mats secure but may be overkill as the mats are quite heavy and do stay put in a home gym scenario. You need to order more than you think if you want to link the mats to using all the connecting holes - in theory you could get away with half the amount if used strategically (every other set of connecting holes) but if you have OCD tendencies like my self and you need to link them all - buy more that you figure, you need 1 box of 12 per mat if connecting all sides . For example I ordered x4 set of 2 mats, covering 2m x 2 m and I need 3 boxes of 12, I have 7 spares left over. A suggestion would be for Mirafit to photograph the back of the mats so you can work out how many you may need for your space.

I'm using these with the 20mm thick variants and I'd say they're pretty much essential if you want to prevent small gaps opening up between the tiles (though that may depend on the floor you're laying them on, I've got mine down on a resin floor in the garage so it's a pretty smooth surface).
One thing I would add is that I initially bought just enough to do the corner joints but have since bought another lot and now have the connectors at every possible location they can be on the mat. Reason being that, with the 20mm mats at least, if there's an unpopulated conneciton point then the mat will deflect more at that location due to the hollow the conenctor would slot in to. This leads to these points feeling very squishy so I'd highly recommend just buying enough to fully lock all your mats together and provide a consistently firm floor.
The conenctors themselves do the job well, fit securely and they're relatively easy to cut up to accomodate your flooring pattern. Definitely worth buying these.
