Hitting my mid-40s and with shoulders that don’t quite have the range of motion they used to, I needed something that would still let me get a proper leg workout. This bar has done exactly that. Solid bit of kit, great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I have kitted out my garage gym with a lot of Mirafit stuff. I train clients who are mainly in their 40s, 50s and older. Many of them have shoulder or neck problems that makes a normal back squat impossible with a regular barbell. This SSB was one of the first specialist bars I bought and it is invaluable. I can safely train people I would not normally be able to help and who would struggle in a normal commercial gym.
I use Decathlon bars and plates which are 28mm 'standard' (rather than Standard 1" or Olympic 2") so I was able to remove the rotating sleeves (which you cannot do with the SSB2) , fit a pipe clamps to keep the plates in place and use my Decathlon plates and collars. I need to add 2x 0.75kg fractional plates to bring the bar up to 20kg. It is an excellent workaround for my circumstances.

Fantastic bar - I cannot go back to regular squats after using the SSB. Highly recommended for anyone who finds regular squats uncomfortable!

Bought it for my wife who can't get on with squatting using a regular bar. Significantly helped with removing shoulder pain, and also her positioning is much better now. Money well spent!

I needed this as I couldn't get my arms back far enough to use a normal bar for squats. (Age and rugby injuries). Very comfortable and built to standard I expect from Mirafit.

As a newbie to health and fitness, I’ve had all kinds of aches and pains over the last couple of months from the physical stresses of training to get into better overall shape.
The worst by far is my shoulder joints from trying to back squat with a standard barbell. I’ve followed the advice from the pros regarding mobility, but unfortunately it seems my genes never intended for my short T-Rex arms to safely hold a loaded bar on my shoulders pain free.
I had been looking at this safety squat bar for a while and wish I had bit the bullet and bought it earlier.
Absolutely pain free squats with tons of stability now I have it and it’s one of my best purchases, along with my bench / rack and cable machine for my garage gym.
