I got this for hip thrusts and it is really, really comfortable. I would definitely recommend getting this for hip thrusts, especially when really moving up the heavier weights. I would also recommend avoiding the other barbell pads with foam in the middle for this kind of exercise as it does not have adequate structure to hold it's shape and support you in the exercise. I would also avoid this for exercises where the barbell is on your back. I believe that's what the other barbell pads are designed for, but can't review as I've never used them.

Use it on my 2” bar and quickly learned I need to check how it’s sat on the bar… only took a couple of times of whacking my spine into the bar because I missed the squishy part!!

Bought the barbell weight pad, to do hip thrusts and squats, quality is good, and the orange colour was a perfect colour contrast with rest of my basement home gym, well happy would recommend

A quality barbell pad that's just about wide enough for all exercises that require some cushioning on the bar. As a bigger guy, the pad can even suit optimal the optimal arm width for zerchar squat but I've found it most useful for hip thrusts.

Adds comfort and style to your bar. That's all you want this piece of kit to do and that's what it does. Good quality materials used and for me has made squats more comfortable, allowing me to focus on the lift more than the position of the bar as the pad keeps you central and consistently in place for each lift. Finally, it's easy to take on and off so there's no down side to owning this.
