How usable is the M200S given the shorter height?
- This depends on the height of the user and the way the rack is setup
- The height to the underside of the rear cross bar is 171cm and the height to the underside of the pull up bar is 173cm
- For taller users this can cause issues with pullups and upright exercises such as squats. In particular with squats there is the consideration of how to rack the bar without hitting your head. Consider these options:
- Option 1 - You can increase clearance under the pull up bar to approximately 180cm by buying the optional multi-grip pull up bar available here (this does not change the overall height of the rack)
- Option 2 - The pull up bar can be fitted slightly further back in the cage to create some more room at the front. Combine option 1 and 2 for an even greater impact
- Option 3 - The pull up bar can be left out entirely. With this setup we recommend a max load of 280kg

Frequently Asked Questions
What ceiling height do I need for the Mirafit M200S Short Power Rack?
The M200S has an overall height of 183cm (6ft). We recommend allowing extra clearance above the rack during assembly and for performing pull-ups. It is a rack designed specifically for garages and home gyms with lower ceilings.
What room size do I need for the M200S power rack?
The rack footprint is 147cm wide and 141cm deep. You should also allow extra space around the rack for loading plates, bench positioning and comfortable movement during training.
Who is the M200S Short Power Rack best for?
The M200S is ideal for home gym users with restricted ceiling height, garage gyms, garden rooms and smaller training spaces who still want a heavy-duty power rack.
What is the difference between the M200S and the standard M200 power rack?
The M200S uses shorter uprights and stands at 183cm tall, whereas the standard M200 is taller at 220cm. If ceiling height is not an issue, the standard version may provide more overhead clearance.
Is the M200S suitable for beginners and experienced lifters?
Yes. The adjustable J-cups and safety spotters make it suitable for beginners learning lifts safely and experienced users training with heavier weights.
Is the M200S suitable for tall users?
This depends on your height and training style. Taller users may find overhead movements and bar re-racking during squats more restrictive due to the lower overall height. The M200S is short power rack designed for rooms where ceiling height is limited. If your room is tall enough then the regular M200 rack is usually a better option.
Can I perform pull-ups on the M200S?
Yes, the rack includes a pull-up bar. However, taller users or those with lower ceilings should check available headroom before use.
What barbells fit the M200S Short Power Rack?
The rack is suitable for 6ft international and 7ft barbells. Standard 6ft barbells are not suitable due to rack width.
Which attachments are compatible with the M200S?
The M200S is compatible with a range of M200 attachments including storage poles, pull-up and training accessories. Compatibility varies by attachment, check out our M2 Compatibility Guide.
Can I add a cable system to the M200S?
No. The cable pulley system is not compatible with this rack.
